Why "How Old Are You?" Is Harder Than It Sounds

"I'm 34" is easy. "I'm 12,419 days old" requires math that almost everyone gets slightly wrong — because years aren't uniform. The Gregorian calendar has two lengths: 365 days and 366. That single extra day, recurring roughly every four years, throws off any simple multiplication.
